I’ve been in the world of music for many years, mostly as a guitarist and later on a pianist. Truthfully, I never even knew the difference between synthesizers and typical Casio electric keyboards, and I just looked at them as if they were toys!
Looking back on those days now, it’s hard to imagine that I would have ever been in the position I am in now. From starting out without much musical experience at all, to now teaching my own musical classes, knowing so much about the world of instruments, and owning dozens of synthesizers over the years. It wasn’t all easy and fun though, there were days when I questioned if this was even what I wanted to do, but I’m glad I stuck by it and became who I am today.
I’ve been around the world of digital synthesizers for close to a decade now, and I’m not proud to say that I’ve owned more poor quality synthesizers rather than good ones. Unfortunately, when I was doing most of my shopping, the world was not as modern as it is today, when it comes to reviews and information about products. We were all clueless, and the only things we knew about instruments before we bought them were what they looked like, and our brief experiences testing them out in the store. It was not until we took them home to realize that they were missing certain features, or incapable of doing the things we wanted.
My mission is to now inform others, so they don’t make the same mistakes I once made. We’re all very fortunate to live in a time such as this, when we can practically know everything there is to know about certain products just by reading about them on the internet. Check out the best synthesizers to see which synth workstations I chose as the best ones to purchase this year. There were many options, and quite frankly it was hard to pick just a few. I’m very confident in my selection though, and I’m certain that you’ll love at least one of the synthesizers on my list, if you do choose to go ahead and purchase one.
From Korg and Yamaha, to Casio and Roland, there are a TON of instruments to choose from, but thankfully I’ve narrowed it down to a couple that really stood out. These are instruments with a whole lot of potential, and you can practically run your own concern with some of these heavyweights (seriously). I hope you pick the best synthesizer for your needs!
